Terrestrial Energy Named Winner of Industry Innovation Award

OTTAWA, ON – December 7, 2016 – Terrestrial Energy is pleased to announce that it has received the Organization of Canadian Nuclear Industries (OCNI) Innovation Award.  The OCNI is a leading trade organization in the global nuclear power industry, and it presented the award in recognition of the growing importance of Advanced Reactor development and Terrestrial Energy’s standing as a leader in this sector.

The Company recently attended the OCNI’s Annual General Meeting and Conference where Chief Technical Officer, Dr. David LeBlanc, accepted the award on the Company’s behalf.  Dr. LeBlanc delivered remarks, expressing the Company’s gratitude to the OCNI’s membership for their support, and acknowledging that Terrestrial Energy’s personnel are the cornerstone of its success.

Ron Oberth, PhD, President and CEO of the OCNI, said that the award recognized Terrestrial Energy for both its technology and business innovation.  In Dr. Oberth’s remarks, he praised the Company for its innovative solutions and for elevating the profile of the nuclear power industry.
